Our Safe Place is a collaborative program with South Bay Community Services and the YMCA of San Diego County, with each partner providing a drop-in center and San Diego Youth Services also providing a mental health clinic.

Mental Health Clinic
Mental Health services include individual and family therapy for LGBTQ+ youth and their families. Our Safe Place can help youth address their mental health needs and other related challenges, including depression, anxiety, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder and trauma.

LGBTQ+ Safe Stay Wellness Center
The LGBTQ+ Safe STAY Wellness Center provides up to 21 beds and supportive services to youth ages 18-24 who are experiencing homelessness. For info or to inquire about a bed, contact housingservices@thecentersd.org or 619-694-6182.

The Hillcrest Youth Center is a drop-in and recreational center, also offering virtual support in San Diego County dedicated to the needs of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, questioning and HIV+ (LGBTQ+) youth.
TransFamily Support Services guides transgender/non-binary youth and their families through the gender transitioning process to help make it the most positive experience possible. They provide family coaching, assistance with healthcare and insurance issues, help navigating the legal system, and support at schools. All services are provided at no fee.
Trans Lifeline’s Hotline is a peer support service run by trans people, for trans and questioning callers. Their operators are located all over the U.S. and are all trans-identified. If you are in crisis or just need someone to talk to, even if it’s just about whether or not you’re trans, you can feel free to call and they can help connect you with support.
