New News:

Seniors, need help completing your FAFSA or Dream Act?  Grossmont College Ambassadors will be here on Tuesday, February 27th in the Library.  Please stop by between 5 - 6:30 pm for help.  Bring your parent(s) with you so you can meet the March 2nd deadline.  They will also bring Ambassadors who can assist families who speak Spanish and Arabic. For the FAFSA, plan to bring student’s SS# and driver's license, parents 2016 federal tax return, student's W-2 form, income records from 2016, if not a US citizen, bring alien registration card(s), your FSA-ID for FAFSA, parent's SS#, parent's FSA-ID, bank account records, investments and business records and your list of colleges of interest.  Dream Act applicants should bring parent and student federal tax return and wage information for 2016, bank account records, investments and business records and your list of colleges of interest.  

Interested in the Medical, IT, Software/Programming or Criminal Justice Fields?  Advanced Training Career College, located at1810 Gillespie Way Suite 104 in  El Cajon, is hosting an open house this Wednesday, February 28 from 5-7 p.m. All are welcome.

Hey Seniors! Ready, Set, Vote! Go vote for yourself or some of your friends for senior standouts in this year’s yearbook. Whether it be for the cutest couple or most likely to win a rap battle, make sure to nominate. Voting is up now until Friday, March 2nd.

Attention Sports Captains:  There will be a very quick meeting on Tuesday at the start of lunch in the ASB room (rm 200) to discuss the yearbook.

If My Parents Only Knew:  On March 8th, in conjunction with the Dallas Pugh Foundation and the Directing Change organization, Valhalla High School presents If My Parents Only Knew.  This event will include a Resource Fair, Main Event with Guest Speaker and Breakout Sessions.  This is a free event being held on the Valhalla Campus from 5:00 - 8:20 pm.  Come listen to the voices of actual high school students as they discuss the difficulties they face while navigating these challenging times.  Please register at valhalla.guhsd.net.     

Know More, Human Trafficking Awareness & Prevention:  Know More is a student-centered drama-based program designed for middle and high school age youth.  Join the Cajon Valley Union School District for this engaging free community event.  It is on March 12th from 4 - 5:30 pm at the Greenfield Middle School Theatre, 1495 Greenfield Dr., El Cajon, CA 92021.  For more information, contact Tami Johnson, 619-590-8886, This email address is being protected from spambots. Seniors!  Have you completed your FAFSA yet?  The deadline is March 2nd.   It is important that you access financial aid no matter where you go to school next year.  Make sure to complete the FAFSA at www.fafsa.gov and check out our website for more information.  Visit www.foothillers.com, click on Counseling and scroll down to access the presentation.

 

Europe Trip Summer 2019: If you are interested in touring Italy and Spain in the Summer of 2019, there will be an informational meeting in Mrs. Schultz's room on Tuesday, February 27th. The meeting will be at 5:30 pm in room 1467.
