New News:

Students:  A Cuyamaca College representative will be on campus this Monday, October 6th. If you have any questions about community college this is the person that can answer them. Stop by the counseling office to sign up and meet with them.

Respect Your Environment: Please remember to clean up after yourself at break and lunch everyday.  Let’s work together to help keep our campus clean.

GOT Plans?  Career/College Fair for all students and their parents is Saturday, October 11th, from 1 to 4 pm at Cuyamaca College. This is our BIGGEST career and college event, and it's for all students preparing to go to a 4-year college, 2-year college, career and technical school, military or work force.  Learn about college admissions, financial aid, and have all your questions answered in one of many workshops you can attend. Students from the entire district will be there, what's most important - will YOU be there?

Reminder:  If you are out after 6th period, you need to leave campus as quickly as possible.  If you are waiting for a ride, or for practice, please wait in the very front or back of the school.  If you need to study, you may come into the cafeteria any day during 7th period.  The Library is also available Tuesday through Thursday as well.  Please do not hang out in the quad.

Nurse’s Office:  Any student who needs to see the nurse must have a pass from their teacher.  Any student arriving without a pass will be sent back to class.

Volunteers Needed:  Northmont Elementary is looking for volunteers to work at their Halloween Carnival on Saturday, October 25th, from 3pm -7pm.  Volunteers would be helping with the inflatables, running carnival games, and in the haunted house.  For more information, see Karin Dann in the counseling office at the far end of the hallway on the left.

College-Bound Sophomores and Juniors:  Sign up for the PSAT!  GHS will be administering the PSAT on Wednesday, October 15th.  The cost is $20.  Sign up at the Finance Office or online at the webstore today.  There are a limited number of tests, so don't procrastinate. Take advantage of this opportunity to get ready for the SAT.

Want FREE test prep for the PSAT, SAT, CAHSEE and more?  TERC is an online database you can find a link to on the library website or just stop by the library for details.

Library Hours:  The Library has new extended hours. The Library is now open until 4:00 on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and open until 3:00 on Wednesdays.  Stop by for a cool place to study, tutorials, and computer access.
