Foothillers:  The Natural High Annual Video and Essay Contest is on!  Every year Natural High provides a platform for youth to tell their brilliant and moving stories about what motivates them to choose a natural high over drugs and alcohol.  Contest runs from April 3rd to May 14th. Four winners will receive a $250 grant to pursue their natural high. Two grand prize winners will be selected to receive $500 to pursue their natural high.  See Karin Dann in the Counseling Office for details.

All returning students: Have you heard? Our Theatre Arts department is now offering a brand new UC/State System approved Honors Theatre Conservatory course next year! If you love performing, going on field trips to see shows, and possibly earning UC/State System Honors credit, come see Ms. Ecker in rm 615 at break for more information about our theatre program and to sign up for an audition time slot. Break a leg!

GHS Girls:  Would you like to become more powerful and confident in the face of fear?  The Girls Rock Club invites you to join us on a fieldtrip to the Fearless Girls Empowerment Conference at the Pendry Hotel downtown on Saturday, April 21st, hosted by Geena the Latina from Channel 93.3.  This free event includes breakfast, lunch, workshops, giveaways, entertainment and inspirational speakers. Space is limited. Pick up a flyer and permission slip in the counseling office today!

2018-2019 Choir Auditions!  Hey Foothillers, want to earn AP and Honors Credit with a performing arts class?  Do you want to join in on fun field trips like Disneyland and a trip to Italy? Join the family and audition for the award winning 2018-2019 Grossmont High School Vocal Music Department and Red Robe Choir.  Next year's choir European concert tour is to Italy, including Venice, Florence, Rome, and Vatican, and you don't want to miss out! Never sang before? No problem. No experience necessary to enroll in honors and AP credit.  Sign up for an informal audition time on Ms. Morrison's door, room 625. See you there!
