New News:

 

Mardi Gras 2018:  Get ready for the biggest party of the year at GHS!  Mardi Gras, or Fat Tuesday, will be celebrated this year on Tuesday, February 13th, in the Old Gym, from 6:30-8:30 p.m.  Come join us for an evening of food, games, music, and fun!

 

Softball: Mandatory meeting on Wednesday, February 7th at lunch in the cafeteria for all girls interested in playing this year.

 

CSF: The California Scholarship Federation is the oldest scholastic scholarship institution in the state of California. It is well recognized by most universities and colleges.  If you are interested in applying, applications are now available in Mr. Lee’s classroom #1130 located in the Science building. Deadline to apply is February 20th.

 

Attention Boys Tennis:  The first day of tryouts has been moved to Tuesday, February 13th.  All are welcome.  Be sure that you have your spring sports clearance from the finance office or you will not be allowed to tryout!  If you have any questions, see Coach Hedberg in room 1105.

 

Dance Concert:  On Valentine's day, February 14th, at 6:30 pm in the Old Gym.

 

Blood Drive & Pancake Breakfast:  In Memory of Captain Ryan on Saturday, February 24th from 8 am to 1:30 pm.  In the parking lot of Saint Andrews Lutheran Church, 8350 Lake Murray Blvd, San Diego, CA 92119.  To schedule an appointment to donate blood, visit www.sandiegobloodbank.org and click on “Donate Blood Today” and search by date.   

 

Upcoming College Visits:

 

Grossmont Middle College:  Sophomores and Juniors, are you interested in learning more about an Alt Ed program known as Grossmont Middle College?  If so, come to a presentation to be held on Friday, February 16th at noon.

 

SDSU:  Are you interested in attending SDSU?  If so, come to a presentation to be held on February 20th during 3rd period.

 

If you are interested in attending any of these presentations, please come sign up in the CCC (College and Career Center).
