G-Crew!  Applications for next year are due TODAY for all students interested in G-Crew. Return your applications to room 805.

GHS Girls:  Would you like to become more powerful and confident in the face of fear?  The Girls Rock Club invites you to join us on a fieldtrip to the Fearless Girls Empowerment Conference at the Pendry Hotel downtown on Saturday, April 21st, hosted by Geena the Latina from Channel 93.3.  This free event includes breakfast, lunch, workshops, giveaways, entertainment and inspirational speakers. Space is limited. Pick up a flyer and permission slip in the counseling office today!

Hey Foothillers!  We are a little over three weeks away from CAASPP testing. All juniors will be tested on California State Standards in English and math from 7:15 am – 9:15 am on April 17th, 19th, 24th and 26th. All seniors will be tested on state standards in science from 7:15 -9:15 on April 24th and 26th. The testing schedule is posted in each classroom and on the school website.

2018-2019 Choir Auditions!  Hey Foothillers, want to earn AP and Honors Credit with a performing arts class?  Do you want to join in on fun field trips like Disneyland and a trip to Italy? Join the family and audition for the award winning 2018-2019 Grossmont High School Vocal Music Department and Red Robe Choir.  Next year's choir European concert tour is to Italy, including Venice, Florence, Rome, and Vatican, and you don't want to miss out! Never sang before? No problem. No experience necessary to enroll in honors and AP credit.  Sign up for an informal audition time on Ms. Morrison's door, room 625. See you there!

AP Tests:  Advanced Placement tests are on sale in the finance office or on the school's webstore.  Sales will end at lunch on Friday, March 23rd, no exceptions. Purchase forms can be picked up in the Main Office, the Finance Office, or in room 825.

 

E-Waste:  There will be an e-Waste event this Saturday in the front parking lot from 9 am till 2 pm.  Please drop off your electronic e-Waste then, or you can bring it to Room 220 prior to that date.

Upcoming College Visits:

 

Are you interested in the Medical Field?  A representative from the Pre-Medical Honor Society will be here presenting on what it takes to become a medical doctor and other types of medical professionals TOMORROW during 2nd period.  If you would like to attend, please come to the CCC (College and Career Center) to sign up.

 

Alliant International University:  Students, are you interested in learning more about Alliant International University?  They will be here on April 11th during 2nd period. Please come sign up in the CCC (College and Career Center).  

 

Club Meetings:

Grossmont Inclusion Club:  Todays water balloon toss will be rescheduled for sometime in May.  Instead, come to room 1453, Mr. G's room, for popcorn and a movie. See you there!
