Seniors who plan to attend Grossmont and/or Cuyamaca Community College in the fall should take advantage of this opportunity on our campus!  Grossmont College staff will help you with all of the application steps, including the placement tests, right here at GHS.  Students who complete the Griffin-Coyote Connection will receive priority registration at both colleges. 

Orientation:  February 14, 2018 from 1:11pm - 4pm.  Come to the library when your school day ends.  Please know your social security number and bring your CASSP/SAT/ACT/AP scores if possible.

Assessment:  April 10, 2018  Students who attended the first session will receive an e-mail regarding this requirement.  Other students must complete an online application and rsvp with their counselor.  

Fieldtrip and advising session at Grossmont College:  May 2, 2018.  Permission slips required.

NEED HELP WITH COURSE SELECTION for the 2018-2019 school year?

A counselor visited your student's class to provide information about the course selection process, graduation and college eligibility requirements.  Course descriptions are available here and students are also encouraged to speak with their teachers for recommendations.  If you have questions or need more information about helping your student complete the Course Selection Form, please visit your student's counselor during the following open counseling hours:

Thursday, Feb. 22nd from 7:15am-8:15am, or 2-4pm

Wednesday, Feb. 28th from 8am-9:15am or 2-4pm

If you are unable to attend one of these dates and times, please e-mail your student's counselor with any questions.  A counselor will meet individually with your student during the month of March to review her/his transcript and course selection form.  A summer school form will be provided if needed.  Letters will be mailed home to parents of 10th and 11th graders to explain any credit deficiencies.


Students may register for AP Tests until March 23rd.  Please bring this form to the Finance Office with your payment or online receipt.  For fee waivers or questions, please contact Don Ginn at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.  or in room 825 on Thursdays during 7th period or after school.  The exams will be offered on May 15th through 18th during the school day.

SENIORS:  APPLY FOR FINANCIAL AID NOW!  The Cal Grant Deadline is March 2, 2018.
