The California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP) will take place in March and April. All JUNIORS will be tested on the California Content Standards in English and mathematics. The dates of testing are March 21 and 23, and April 4 and 6. For these four days juniors will test during a two-hour block from 7:15 - 9:15 in assigned classrooms.
On April 4 and 6 from 7:15 - 9:15 in assigned classrooms all SOPHOMORES will take the CAST (California Science Test), a statewide online test to assess students’ achievement of the Next Generation Science Standards.

The first step to becoming a Foothiller is completing the Online Registration (OLR) for GUHSD by using the above link. Also, the CHOICE window is open from January 23- February 24, 2017. It is crucial that if you are utilizing this program that you meet the timeline requirements outlined in the "How To Attend Grossmont" link below. To complete your student’s registration, please bring to Grossmont all documents included in your registration packet, along with copies of two proofs of residency, immunization record, and birth certificate. Our Freshman Registration will be on March 15 and March 16 from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and on March 17 from 7:30 to 11:00 a.m. in the Student Services Building. Grossmont placed 6 out of 30 teams, and Bella Gargano came away with an individual award of "Outstanding Prosecution Attorney." From February 16 through February 25, 2017,
Grossmont High School participated for our fourth year in the San Diego County High School Mock Trial Competition. The Program is presented by the local state and federal courts and the San Diego County Bar Association (SDCBA). Each team is made up of 8-25 high school students. SDCBA assists in providing lawyer coaches and the courts provide judges and courtrooms. This year 29 county high schools participated in the competition.
We are excited and looking forward to another class of outstanding students starting at Grossmont in August. To finalize enrollment at Grossmont, you will need to bring two proofs of residency, immunization records, and your birth certificate along with the registration documents from the new student packet. By 2020, 65% of all jobs will require post-secondary education. Employers are demanding highly trained, competent and skilled workers in a wide array of industries. That’s why the Grossmont Union High School District and Grossmont-Cuyamaca Community College District have joined forces to set all GUHSD students up for success. Students in the Class of 2019 and beyond from these east county high schools (INCLUDES GROSSMONT HIGH SCHOOL) are automatically considered Higher Edge Scholars and will be able to participate in exciting new programs that will begin to be offered to students in the 2016/17 academic year. Students that fulfill the requirements of the Higher Edge Promise Scholarship criteria will be rewarded with FREE college for their first 30 units at either Grossmont or Cuyamaca Colleges.
